Celebrating volunteers in the non-profit sector

As National Volunteer Week approaches (April 27 to May 3), the Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) acknowledges the work of the thousands of volunteers who are the driving force behind non-profit organizations throughout the province and who make possible the execution of so many of our grants.
Every year, volunteers provide countless work hours in various sectors including arts and culture, sport, social services and more. Since 2016, projects funded through OTF have engaged 379,000 volunteers in their communities, who contributed nearly 7 million hours to the delivery of programs and services. This commitment enables the delivery of programming that helps build healthy and vibrant communities in Ontario.
As part of National Volunteer Week, OTF also acknowledges the contributions of its Board of Directors and local volunteers on our Grant Review Teams and Grant Review Committee who are essential to our granting processes. Volunteers support OTF’s commitment to accountability, transparency and equity and their diverse experiences and knowledge help support our work across the province.
Thank you to all the volunteers who continue to offer their time and commitment to support the important work delivered by the non-profit sector!
