Supporting Youth and Families Across Ontario
Today, the Youth Opportunities Fund announced the deadlines for three grant streams that aim to support projects improving the wellbeing of children, youth, and families facing systemic barriers.
The Youth Innovations Stream invests in the work of grassroots groups that are youth-led or youth-adult partnerships by funding projects that test an idea or grow a successful project.

The Family Innovations Stream invests in the work of grassroots groups to test or scale culturally anchored projects that empower, support, and strengthen families.

The System Innovations Stream supports collaboratives that are strengthening the quality and responsiveness of systems so they work better for youth facing systemic barriers.

YOF knows the value of grassroots leadership in developing solutions and delivering projects that positively impact communities across Ontario. Shared identities and experiences are critical to effective grassroots work that responds to and recognizes the assets, needs, strengths, skills and experiences of children, youth, and families facing barriers.
YOF seeks to support initiatives led by and for:
- Indigenous youth and families;
- Black/Afro-diasporic/Afro-Caribbean and/or Afro-Latinx youth and families, and;
- Other youth and families facing barriers to wellbeing.
