We act with integrity and fairness by:

  • Acknowledging inquiries received by telephone, email or mail within 24 hours
  • Making the expertise of our staff available through the Support Centre
  • Having local staff in each one of our granting catchments across Ontario
  • Regularly surveying applicants to gauge and improve our customer service, and publicly report on our findings

  • Monitoring and evaluating the investments we make and creating opportunities to learn as an organization
  • Using the Canadian Index of Wellbeing to gauge the cumulative impact of our investments

  • Using evidence-based approach to continually improve our granting process, with data gathered from grant results and grant audits 

We build trust through transparency and accountability by:

  • Having a fair and transparent grant application assessment process
  • Promptly publishing a comprehensive list of grants made
  • Being accountable to the government as a steward of public funds
  • Using a risk-based approach to monitor grants, with a focus on closer monitoring for higher risk grants to ensure that grants deliver expected results.
