DescriptionSupporting collaborative work with a $333,400 grant over 2 years to develop the Alternative Mental Health and Addictions Crisis Response Model (AMHA-CRM) which will apply a culturally safe and non-police based strategy for Black and Indigenous youth involved in the justice system, aged 12 to 25 years, in the Waterloo region. The aim is to improve their overall health, wellness, and safety by applying a community-led, person-centred, culturally anchored approach and a Trauma & Violence Informed Care (TVIC) lens to crisis response.
