To upgrade technology and equipment in order to continue to offer free year-round programs for children and pre-teens in Toronto's St. James Town community. Funds will be used to purchase projectors, software, computers and office furniture.

To renovate a Scarborough location to create a multi-purpose community hub where community residents will be engaged in volunteer leadership, recreation and skill-building activities, and have access to on-site services provided by hub partner agencies.

To engage high school youth in a new initiative that integrates arts and civic engagement. In partnership with the Canadian Civil Liberties Educational Trust, instructional workshops, followed by hands-on art workshops, will be held. Artist residencies, where youth create art on themes related to human and civil rights will also take place, including one held at a Toronto police station.

To conduct accessibility audits for the four largest organizations working out of the Bathurst Street centre. Customer service, accessibility and inclusion training for staff and volunteers will be delivered. The main floor will be made accessible with automatic doors, a platform lift, an accessible washroom, and appropriate signage.

To support a capacity-building project that will focus on strategic planning, organizational development needs and evaluation frameworks in order to strengthen operational systems and encourage community partnerships. The collaborative and consultative process will lead to a multi-year strategic plan that will support future projects with other community partners in Toronto's Davenport West community.

To implement the Imani Healing Circle, a program for African Canadian youth in Toronto involved with the criminal justice system, who are gang-involved and/or experiencing drug and mental health issues. The circle will provide them with skills to address underlying issues and make positive life choices. More than 350 youth will be mentored and will receive supports to reduce recidivism and to reintegrate into the community.

To support a train-the-trainer stress reduction program that will bring mindfulness skills to front-line staff working in Toronto. Once trained staff will then provide 100 marginalized people with enhanced coping skills and a low-tech approach to healing.

To renovate the basement of the largest shelter in Toronto dedicated to refugee families in order to create space for educational workshops and recreational, physical and social activities.
