Reading Rocks engages up to 200 volunteers, mostly faculty and students from Brock University, to tutor and support program participants in basic reading literacy.

To hire staff to conduct research to develop a community approach to food security in Niagara. This will involve a series of local consultations and outreach initiatives, and hosting best practice events with speakers and panel discussions.

To establish a retail training centre in Fort Erie and Port Colborne as well as a new recycling centre to act as a central support hub for Niagara. Funds will help to hire staff and purchase equipment. These centres will reduce landfill waste by processing unsold, donated goods and e-waste and give workers opportunities to develop new skills.

To establish a second "ReStore" outlet in the Thorold-Fonthill area that will divert items from the landfill while creating revenue to support the building of new, affordable homes in Niagara. Funds will be used to help with salaries and to purchase a delivery truck.

To help this collaborative initiative meet its goals of strengthening Niagara's Mental Health and Addiction system. Funds will be used to hire staff to provide the support needed to guide the collective impact process.

To fund programming, equipment and production costs for the 2nd Annual Niagara Integrated Film Festival in June. The festival showcases world-class films throughout the Niagara Region, engaging more people in the arts.

To develop a long-term strategy that will help individuals and families in West Niagara achieve self-sufficiency and secure affordable housing. This is a collaborative initiative with the Grimsby Affordable Housing Partnership and Lincoln Association for Affordable Housing.

To support two Technical Director positions in order to guide and assist member clubs in adapting the "Long Term Player Development" program. Along with enhancing the skills and knowledge of players and volunteer coaches, clinics and programs for children will be offered to increase participation and reduce drop-out rates.

To establish a Clubhouse in St. Catharines where people with acquired brain injuries can learn new skills, make friends, engage in social activities and access employment opportunities. Funds will be used to hire a coordinator, purchase equipment and help with other program costs.
