A needs assessment and stakeholder consultation will also be completed that will identify potential efficiencies in the addictions and mental health system in Brant County and Brantford.

To increase community access to arts programming through the renovation of the new Brantford Centre for the Arts. This 20,000 square foot facility will provide space for a wide range of arts and theatre groups as well as studio space for artists. It will transform the arts sector in Brantford, providing new opportunities for collaboration and innovative shared programming.

To assist with the start-up of this community food bank which is serving more than 120 families per month in the Cayuga area. Grant funds will be used toward hiring a coordinator and bookkeeper, purchasing computer equipment and covering coordinator travel costs.

To increase sustainability of the community festival through the purchase of outdoor tents and advertising banners. The equipment will also be made available to other local not-for-profit groups, thereby increasing its impact.

To bring local history to life through collecting and sharing oral history from residents of Brantford and Brant County. The oral history will be featured in audio components of new museum exhibits and made available online as well as be used by local students and researchers.

To provide safe linkage to the trail system in Lions Park. The grant will contribute to the costs of constructing a pedestrian bridge over Whitemans Creek which will provide a safe off-road link from the existing paved trail to the park entrance.

To maintain access to this well-used community hall by replacing the heating and air conditioning system.

To provide continued access to an important research site for bird migration through replacing the roof and an aging generator at one of the Long Point Bird Observatory's monitoring stations.
