To increase the club's financial sustainability by contributing to a state of the art sound system. The new sound system will be easier for volunteers to operate, will be available for use by other local groups, and will help the club to continue to attract more competitive skaters.

To provide information to caregivers of seniors and people with disabilities in Brantford to assist them in providing effective in-home supports. The grant will be used to fund the production of 300 printed booklets to assist caregivers in proactively addressing feeding and swallowing issues.

To maintain access to free after school music and arts instruction for youth at five Brantford and Brant County schools. Grant funds will be used to transport youth to the new Brantford Centre of the Arts where enhanced arts programming can be offered. In addition, the grant will support the development of a fundraising and marketing plan that will build sustainability.

To maintain opportunities for residents to access high quality soccer programs by supporting the long term sustainability of the Club. Grant funds will be used to support a full-time manager while new revenue streams are developed to sustain this position in the future.

To maintain services to isolated seniors by assisting the Centre with its rent costs while it builds stable, long term funding sources for future sustainability. The Centre provides seniors with information and assistance in accessing local services and government programs.

To hire a staff person to plan for detoxification services for local residents with drug and alcohol addictions. A needs assessment and stakeholder consultation will also be completed that will identify potential efficiencies in the addictions and mental health system in Brant County and Brantford.

To increase community access to arts programming through the renovation of the new Brantford Centre for the Arts. This 20,000 square foot facility will provide space for a wide range of arts and theatre groups as well as studio space for artists. It will transform the arts sector in Brantford, providing new opportunities for collaboration and innovative shared programming.

To assist with the start-up of this community food bank which is serving more than 120 families per month in the Cayuga area. Grant funds will be used toward hiring a coordinator and bookkeeper, purchasing computer equipment and covering coordinator travel costs.
