Grant funds will contribute to the purchase of a large cube van, so that food donations can be picked up in fewer trips, thereby making more effective use of staff and volunteer time.

To increase arts programming offered to children and adults in Brantford and surrounding communities and to enhance the financial sustainability of the gallery. The grant will contribute to the creation of two new staff positions which will focus on the development of new sponsorship and partnership opportunities and the creation of new family oriented arts programming.

To increase supports for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered community in Brantford and Brant through the establishment of a community hub for information and peer support. The grant will contribute to a part-time coordinator's salary and assist with marketing and outreach.

To attract new audiences and volunteers to Cottonwood in order to build financial sustainability. Grant funds will contribute to the curator's salary at this Haldimand County based heritage facility.

To facilitate the development of a collaborative program focused on increasing high school graduation rates for youth from the Eagle Place neighbourhood in Brantford. Grant funds will be used to hire a co-ordinator to assist with ongoing planning and partnership development, and also to pilot an after school and support program for youth.

To increase awareness of Six Nations heritage by upgrading historic displays at this site in Brantford. Grant funds will be used to renovate the bell display and a look out point that marks where First Nations people arriving by canoe along the Grand River disembarked to access the chapel grounds.

To increase safety for players of youth football in Brantford and Brant County through the replacement of 80 helmets. The helmets are loaned to players and re-used from year to year, meaning that this investment will benefit a significant number of youth over time.
