This grant will allow the model to be evaluated so this evidence can be factored into future funding decisions for local children's services.

To repair the elevator and replace the roof over the hall's kitchen, ensuring that this community space can continue to be used by local groups for recreation programs and for a breakfast program which serves the neighbouring elementary school.

To increase access to high quality track and field facilities in Brantford by contributing to the Kiwanis Field project. Funds will be used to build an eight lane rubberized track which will be used for community and school sports. This will assist in attracting major tournaments and sporting events to the area.

To increase access for residents in Dunnville and surrounding rural areas to day hospice services. Grant funds will be used to help start the new hospice program, to recruit and train volunteers and to develop fundraising initiatives which will sustain the program in the future.

To maintain access for youth to high quality soccer fields in Caledonia through the purchase of a loader attachment for the Caledonia Soccer Complex's existing tractor. This loader will allow volunteers to better maintain the soccer fields, surrounding areas and the parking lot.

To increase access to high quality curling programs in Haldimand County by contributing to the costs of replacing equipment.

To raise awareness of the needs of the aging population in Brantford and Brant County through ongoing consultations with local seniors. Seniors will be recruited and trained to act as volunteer counsellors and gather data that can be used to update the community's Master Aging Plan.

To complete an in-depth needs assessment with community groups in Dunnville. Students hired from local colleges will work with not-for-profit groups on identifying and addressing marketing, audience development and communication challenges. This work will identify opportunities to collaborate around communications and training gaps.
