To increase supports for aboriginal men and women in Brantford and Brant County. The grant will enhance traditional healing services for men and women through the establishment of sweat lodges as well as piloting the "I am a Kind Man" domestic violence program and the recently developed "I am a Kind Father" parenting program for men.

To increase opportunities for the ball park in Jarvis to attract additional championship softball events which will enhance the local economy. Grant funds will be used to upgrade the facility with new scoreboards, sound systems and covered dugouts in order to meet Softball Canada standards in time to host the Senior Women's Fast Pitch Canadian Championships in August 2012.

To maintain access to a historically accurate experience for visitors to this historic home located near St. George. Funding will be used to maintain the building, restore various historical features and complete an archeological study of outbuildings at the property.

To increase community access to and better safeguard information currently held on microfilm. A microfilm scanner-viewer will be used to convert microfilm to searchable electronic files, an easier-to-use format for local researchers. The equipment will travel to museum and heritage associations across Haldimand and Norfolk thereby providing broad community benefit.

To increase opportunities for Brant County youth aged 14-18 to build their writing and interviewing skills through mentorship by a professional author. Young writers will interview seniors and capture their stories in print, online and video format, thereby building inter-generational understanding and community awareness of local history.

To implement and provide training on AIMS, an information management system, for better data collection, reporting, and management of service delivery that will improve the agency’s case management process of serving people with disabilities in Haldimand-Norfolk.

To support three volunteer groups operating out of this church basement in Brantford by funding air conditioning, kitchen improvements and tables and chairs. This grant will allow a sewing group, a clothing depot for low income families and a scouting unit to make more effective use of the space, and continue to offer free and low-cost social and recreational opportunities for seniors and families.

To increase community capacity in Caledonia by creating new partnerships and identifying local priorities that groups can work on together. Funds will support a part-time staff position to coordinate the initiative.

To renovate the kitchen by replacing the dishwasher and purchasing new kitchen range hoods. Volunteers will be able to continue providing more than 10,000 school and community meals per month in Brantford.
