To improve cultural and language resources available to Six Nations and Haudenosaunee communities in Ontario. The grant is for salary support for translation of historic documents in the Indigenous Knowledge Centre's archive, from older Haudenosaunee linguistics into modern day orthography to make them more useable in language programs.

To build opportunities for increased arts tourism to Brant, Norfolk, Oxford, Elgin and Middlesex Counties through support for the 2012 Arts Country catalogue and website. Funding will be used for updating and printing the catalogue, with the expectation that in 2013 the project will be self-sustaining through advertising and other revenues.

To increase habitat diversity at Taquanyah Conservation Area in Haldimand County by contributing to the construction of new wetland areas. The project, a collaboration of three local groups, also includes funds for viewing mounds and trails that will increase the public use of the site and provide new opportunities for environmental learning and nature appreciation.

To increase the sustainability of this rural daycare in Langton by assisting with the costs of a kitchen renovation. The new kitchen will both make more effective use of staff time and will allow the daycare to offer new nutritional programming which may in turn attract new registration. The facility is shared with two other community groups.
