To prevent noise-induced hearing loss to more than 6,000 Grade 4 students in Leeds and Grenville, Lanark, Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Prescott and Russell regions by delivering a free educational program. The program, which can be delivered in French if requested, demonstrates the causes and impact of hearing loss on one's life and shows the students how to change the way they listen to music and reduce their exposure to noise at public music and sporting events.

To increase access to sports and recreation equipment by establishing a Sport Lending Library for residents while raising awareness of the benefits of active living. Equipment will include snowshoes, cross-country skis and boots, to life jackets and water sports equipment.

To hire staff to increase the capacity of the organization to develop social enterprise skills. The project will include business plan, marketing and product development as well as building partnerships and networks to foster a social purpose enterprise.

To create an online training program and internship for women who have been victims of violence. The program will build participants' leadership, analytical and facilitation skills as they engage with organizations that work to eradicate violence against women.

To conduct research and implement a needs assessment of programming and services available to Somali youth in the Windsor, Essex community, one of the largest growing immigrant communities in the region. Funding is for developing appropriate programming after the study, for printing copies of the final report, and includes a small stipend for youth participating in the youth advisory committee.
