To reduce the incidence of elder abuse across York region. Peer-led elder abuse workshops will be offered to seniors and training to front-line staff so service providers better recognize and respond to suspected elder abuse among their clients. Public Service Announcements and an upgraded interactive website will help promote activities and raise awareness.

To hire a games coordinator to assist in the co-hosting of the Provincial 2014 55+ Senior Games in Windsor and Amherstburg. Grant funds will provide sporting equipment and a portable PA system and support entertainment costs of the ceremonies thereby ensuring the quality and presentation of the games. A best-practices guide will be created to guide future organizing committees.

To develop services and supports for transgender and gender-variant people and their families in Peterborough, City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton and Northumberland. Funding will support staffing and program costs to provide educational opportunities that will build the community's capacity for ongoing service delivery.

To hire a program coordinator along with activity coordinators to recruit more volunteers and expand arts, music and life-skills programming to children in York Region with serious illnesses. The one-day program will become two days and three new programs will be added in order to double the number of children served.

To replicate Ray of Hope's Morning Glory cafe in the society's family centre. Developed and run as a social enterprise, the cafe will provide marginalized youth aged 15 to 30 with job training, paid employment and life-skills training.

To engage a community developer to support a partnership between agencies serving Amherstburg and Essex.
One integrated volunteer program will be established and community awareness of and access to services will be enhanced. The sustainability of services will be strengthened through increased volunteer and donor engagement.

To renovate five utility service trailers into mobile command units, and to purchase registration and administration resource kits, which will enable the organization to deliver relief more efficiently for disaster events in Ontario. Mobile command units will be permanently stationed in Kenora, Sudbury, Ottawa, Barrie and Hamilton.

To hire a coordinator and fund travel and program expenses. This will enable the project collaborative to provide leadership and entrepreneurial skill-development assistance that will enhance employment opportunities for Francophone youth in need of additional support in Greenstone and area.

To strengthen the organization's ability to offer free arts-based programming to vulnerable youth aged 11 to 14 by providing musical equipment and program supports. Up to 50 youth from Brantford will learn new skills, develop confidence and self-esteem, and gain an appreciation for the arts.

To hire a mentoring coordinator who will deliver and expand school-based programming to newcomers in London and Middlesex and Aboriginal children on reserve. Children and youth will become better connected with their schools and communities.
