Funding for the Peel Elder Abuse Prevention Network will support the hiring of network coordinators, planning activity, training and resource materials.

To construct a picnic shelter and ramp at the Cedar Bay Recreation Complex in Sioux Lookout. This will provide a safer, more accessible, multiuse space for people of all ages and abilities participating in outdoor recreational activities and events.

To invest in equipment, develop joint activities with other organizations and deliver new training opportunities for artists and school workshop programs. The only Francophone media arts-based artist-run centre outside Québec, the organization will operate within a cluster of artist-run media-arts organizations at its new venue in Toronto’s Queen St. West district.

To support a community connections liaison who will offer programs to people with developmental disabilities and their families in the Ottawa area. Family workshops, connection events and a web portal will help caregivers connect and better navigate social services. As well, grant funds will support evaluation and planning including the development of a fundraising plan to increase service sustainability.

To support the Collaborative Leaders for a Collaborative Future initiative to increase the impact of local service delivery by immigrant-serving employment agencies. Funds will be used to support staffing and administration costs associated with designing, evaluating and sharing a collaborative leadership development program for 50 managers from across Toronto.

To establish a collaborative arts therapy program that will strengthen the psychological and emotional well-being of people with addictions, eating disorders and mental health challenges. Experimentation with a range of artistic media will be encouraged and participants' completed works will be displayed online and in community events at sites across York Region.

To hire a part-time community outreach worker to recruit and train volunteers, organize workshops and school presentations, and host cultural events in Halton, Peel and Orangeville. Funds would also support promotional materials, computer and office equipment and educational kits.

To purchase headsets to be used in the production of ice shows and computer hardware and software for the training and development of skaters. The new technology will help skaters improve their performance by providing detailed video analysis of skating movements.
