This will complete a two-year, volunteer-led fundraising campaign that has allowed the club to relocate and build a boathouse in Kiwanis Park.

To hire an executive director and complete renovations to the washroom, showers, roof and doors thereby ensuring emergency transitional housing is available to young men aged 16 to 20 who are either homeless or risk becoming homeless or require a residence with adult support.

To support the technical director position in order to guide and assist member clubs in adapting the national Long Term Player Development program. Along with enhancing the skills and knowledge of volunteer coaches, clinics and camp programs for children will be offered that will increase participation and reduce drop-out rates.

To provide 850 volunteers with practical leadership training in order to help build the capacity and vitality of the Toronto community. These volunteers will help organize neighbourhood games leading up to the 2015 Pan Am/Para PanAm Games, and then be placed with community organizations that need volunteers.

To support programs in which Toronto youth can build their own bicycles, make use of drop-In hours to maintain their bikes in a safe and supportive environment, and participate in a youth riding club that promotes the teaching of safe cycling skills by CAN-BIKE certified instructors. Funds will support bike parts, equipment, staffing and admin costs.

To purchase audio-visual and computer equipment, software and furnishings. This will increase the Toronto organization's capacity to provide portable, easy-to-use equipment to emerging and mid-career artists and to collaborate with community organizations.

To increase skills and economic opportunities for local residents by hiring a project coordinator who will develop a social enterprise. This will provide business training and mentorship to participants and address the need for occasional labour and personal assistance in the community.

To engage local schools, community residents and new Canadians in the restoration and protection of the South March Highlands wetlands. Volunteers will gain field experience in environment work as they engage in habitat surveys, clean-up, monitoring, data collection and raising awareness of animal crossings. This important ecosystem in Ottawa is home to more than 654 species including 18 species at risk.

To help people tell their own bold, raw, personal stories of living with a spinal cord injury or other physical disability. This work will culminate in 12 performances of a play. After the performances, these individuals will be prepared to educate those in corporations, schools and at other events about issues facing people with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities. Funding will support artist and rehearsal costs.

To support the six organizations in this collaborative to establish an Elder Persons Consortium in the Thorncliffe Park neighbourhood of Toronto that will engage seniors in the development of programs and outreach initiatives. This will result in better coordination of services for marginalized seniors.
