TwitterChat: Volunteering April 27 at 1 pm

Volunteers are connectors to the community where they live and serve. We know that there are millions of people across Ontario who dedicate their time and skills to benefit their neighbourhoods. We want to hear from you! Like many organizations in the public benefit sector, OTF volunteers are vital to meeting our mission of building healthy and vibrant communities. So we truly understand how important volunteers are to making Ontario and Ontarians flourish. Join us to learn more about volunteerism, OTF’s volunteers and participate in the conversation during National Volunteer Week!

We will have a couple of our volunteer Grant Review Team members join us for the chat; a great opportunity to learn more about volunteering at OTF. We also have some fun trivia and a contest open to all tweeters!

Join the conversation!

Stephanie Attwood has been with OTF since 2003.  She is currently the Volunteer Relations Manager with OTF.  She was as a Grant Review Team Member in the Quinte Kingston Rideau area for 6 years from 2003-2009. Fortunately, she joined the OTF team as a Program Manager.  She has also volunteered for the Children’s Aid Society, PTA and other local organizations.

What is a Twitter Chat?

A Twitter chat is when a group of Twitter users meet to discuss a topic using a hashtag (#). Imagine a networking event with no dress code or physical location. It’s a great opportunity to connect with individuals and organizations with similar interests. Let’s share and learn from one another.

Be part of the conversation. It’s easy.

1.    Log onto your Twitter account

2.    Search for #OTFChat and follow along

3.    If you want to ask a question or comment, use the hashtag #OTFChat in your tweet

Hope to meet you in the Twitterverse.
