Ontario Trillium Foundation needs your input: Accessibility plan
The Ontario Trillium Foundation is committed to equity, inclusion and respect, and we promote and foster a culture of inclusion and accessibility at every level. As part of that commitment, we are looking for your feedback on our 2018-2022 Accessibility Plan.
Starting today, you can provide us with your input on our plan to ensure we continue to meet the requirements of the regulation and comply with the principles of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA).
If you’re interested in providing feedback, please read the 2018-2022 Accessibility Plan, and send your input in an email with “Accessibility Plan” in the subject line to hr@otf.ca. The consultation process closes Thursday, November 30 at 5 p.m. ET.
These consultations will help inform how we provide information and communication, customer service, employment, training and our procurement practices.
We are proud of our achievements thus far and remain committed to moving forward, focusing on awareness raising, training, the provision of accessible tools and granting to improve key areas of daily living for people with disabilities and for older Ontarians.
We are committed to support increased accessibility across the province through our investments in charities and nonprofit organizations. A significant component of our Plan is dedicated to continuing to prepare our staff and volunteers to serve people of all abilities.
Over the last five fiscal years alone, OTF has awarded over 900 grants for a total investment of $95.1M for initiatives focused on removing and preventing barriers for people with disabilities. Our funding has supported accessible built environment, accessible transportation and services for people with disabilities to help them to be active and involved in community life.
