Susan Scotti is an active member of the Ottawa community. She serves as Vice President of Board of the Ottawa Immigrant Community Services Organization, and is former Chair of the Canadian Film Institute. She has been a member of the Ottawa Grants Review Team for the Trillium Foundation and the Community Services Cabinet of the Ottawa United Way/Centraide and a member of the board of Volunteer Canada.
Susan is Executive Vice President at the Business Council of Canada. Prior to joining the Council, was a senior executive with the Government of Canada for over 30 years, Ms. Scotti served as Senior Assistant Deputy Minister with Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and has also held senior positions in the Ministries of Canadian Heritage, Communications, Indian and Northern Affairs and the Privy Council Office where she was responsible for national policies and programs in diverse areas such as culture and broadcasting, the public pension system, aboriginal land claims and the integration, and participation of ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, and seniors,
A graduate of the University of Toronto, Ms. Scotti holds Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Work degrees. In 2014, Susan became a certified director through the Directors’ College.
